Israel doesn’t need a single settlement built since the official start of her war of independence for security purposes.
That’s obvious.
The Hamas butchers walked, took their good old time, unhurried, fearing nothing, maybe the wind blowing one, possibly two motorized gliders, 10 to 50 meters off course.
One group of party goers hid in dumpsters for 6 hours waiting for the IDF to show up.
They, as many as possibly 16, were all alive for those 6 hours with the bravest of them, the first to die, texting his friend with connection to high levels of the IDF their exact location, and when the IDF finally arrived 4 buried at the bottom of the pile were still alive because Hamas thought they were dead from the fire of high powered automatic rifles and machine guns.
To appreciate the degradation of Israel Command and Control, all the result of the money-mineral influence of religious zealots
who were previously conspicuously absent from any government and military action given that their actions were nothing that even slightly resembled what it means to be Jewish, you have to know the mentality of Israeli top commanders going back to start of Israel’s War of Independence, that effectively began on 19 March 1945
when Ben Gurion’s Jewish Brigade launched their first major offensive against the Nazis, and their spectacular performance was in large part thanks to air-ground support from South African General Jan Christiaan Smut’s elite fighter bomber 11 Squadron consisting of 2 Jewish fighter bomber pilots, my father Bernie Gevisser
and his wingman, Syd Cohen
who would go on to lead the Israel Air Force’s only fighter squadron, 101 to victory in the War of Independence.
In 1972 while on ulpan-Gadna training
at Ben Gurion’s kibbutz Sde Boker, Negev Desert, I met numerous times with Ben Gurion and his top commanders, including Meir Amit who was still active in the mid-80s recruiting from around the world future leaders of Israel’s crack Kidon assassination and counter espionage, and not at all particular about their ethnic background, only that they showed common sense and initiative, the two going hand in hand.
As you would expect from well raised Jewish people these commanders didn’t give long speeches like Netanyahu and President Herzog, a major in Unit 8200 military intelligence who failed hopelessly on Saturday, and both now fighting to keep their jobs.
Nor am I suggesting the whole lot be placed under house arrest because that could hinder the resupply from the US, but it would have no effect on the moral of the soldiers, other than it would fire them up more so.
We know our enemies want us all dead.
The UN and nice sounding name NGOs sending money, moreover the blithe Cryptos to Hamas-Hezbollah-House of Saud who produce children books that say “Kill the Jews, and when they get to age 7 and just starting elementary school they are told that when you decapitate your enemy Jew, including Jewish babies, they cannot go to heaven, only to hell, is the problem.
This is not new knowledge.
One man’s system is another man’s corruption.
In heaven remember, awaits 19 virgins for all the terrorist martyrs, why share?
This is basic Israeli officer training.
It was only a few years ago when first hearing what the very best of us Jewish people living in fanatical Muslim states led by Iran encounter on a daily basis, “Not fit to live” is because I never spoke previously with a mindful Jewish Iranian.
“Not fit to live” is Nazi talk and that I’m familiar with; half my paternal grandfather’s immediate family,
his cousins, aunts and uncles were murdered by the Nazis and their collaborators, which included turned Jewish people.
So how to go forward?
First Israel has enough calm heads to know how easy it is to open a refugee camp alongside Gaza with several exit points which has them all stripped totally naked and each taken for interrogation, at least those over the age of 7, but those younger must still be body searched for hidden hand-grenades.
There is no way to reach such brainwashed people in a generation.
WW3 has begun and it could end today with few survivors.
So no refugee camp unless MBS steps up to plate, commits the builders of his Arabian vision to rebuild Gaza and convinces Hamas to hand over the hostages alive; and ahead of the rebuilding effort is the children’s educational curriculum set by Israeli teachers or people such as myself, otherwise the bombardment doesn’t just continue, it must escalate.
If we had acted when Hitler arrived as Chancellor on 30 January 1933 there would 6 million, plus 3 generations more Jewish people to feed and house, but we didn’t have a strong army at the time.
The Jewish Brigade formation was a major undertaking for Ben Gurion and Smuts, the best friend us Jewish people have had since Moses.

Let me know, and if I don’t get back to you immediately it is because I’m traveling and where I will be staying there is no internet; the closest is the local small Post Office that is about 300 meters away by road, and about 100 meters as the crow flies, but getting there takes about 5 hours with stops for lunch and an electrical charge if we find one, and if not the rental electric car Peugeot will come to a stop without me having to explain why, I hope.
