As a former lawyer you would know that there is no beauty to the history of law as it is all couched in violence, theft, rape and pillage; but then there is beautiful music like the YouTube video I just watched of you and Jeff Hall playing an acoustic version of Toto’s “Africa” in a pizza shop.

 

Now let me share with you another type of goosebumps.

 

Back in the early 1990s around the time Lloyd’s of London, who control with a diamond studded iron fist the world’s insurance market and therefore all real estate value, introduced a banning order preventing American citizens and residents from investing in the world’s oldest Old Boys Club which was formed in 1774, the same year Adam Smith wrote Wealth of Nations, and two years before US Declaration of Independence, I had an intimate dinner with Bob Dylan whose best friend, going back to when they were growing up in Minnesota, had married a client of mine’s daughter.

 

The client, very rich South African Maurice Aronson who had immigrated to the US in the 1970s just ahead of me who immigrated in 1978, one year before joining the mining-banking consortium Engelhard-De Beers-Anglo American Corporation, had made his money in the South African timber industry which my immediate family controlled, but not exactly lock, stock and barrel, for all we had was a minority shareholder position, plus most importantly, management control of Africa’s largest and most successful timber company, ACME TIMBER.

 

The majority owner was German-American Charles W. Engelhard Jr. [1917-1971] who achieved this most coveted spot by ousting the previous majority owners, the French Rothschild family.

 

Soon after I was introduced to Dylan, before we all headed to the Jewish Succoth-dwelling in the backyard, I asked Bob, 

 

“Did the thought ever occur to you that the Vietnam War, which we are told was ‘all in support of our south east Asia policy’ was to mask the unbridled invasion of mineral rich South Africa and the surrounding countryside?”

 

He just gave me a queer look, so I continued:

 

“You probably know that you were born on the same day as Queen Victoria, but most likely unaware that you also share the same birthday as South African General, Jan Christiaan Smuts who during World War II was second in command to Churchill, despite the fact that Smuts was once, during the Anglo-American Boer War of 1899-1902 the most fierce and brave opponent of the British army, and nor was Smuts a British citizen when he was first brought into the British War Cabinet in World War I after he had turned the tide in favor of the Allies. Nor did Smuts ever take up British citizenship. Moreover, had Churchill become incapacitated or died during WW II, then Smuts would have become Prime Minister of Great Britain as well as South Africa.

 

In 1967 when you were 26 and at the top of your game, I was just 10 years old 

but asking a lot of questions from my very close to her chest British-English mother Zena who chose smartly to marry

the best looking and wisest South African man to be the father of her four children. My father, Allied Fighter-Bomber-Pilot, Bernie Gevisser

also knows the forestry business blind because he understands as well as anyone the military component of international fair trade agreements.

There was an unopened bottle of Vodka in the bar area where there was plenty of memorabilia of the host’s and Bob Zimmerman’s childhood growing up together. 

 

Zimmerman-Dylan didn’t answer my question, and nor did he ask me a single question, although I knew that he had been briefed that I was a very close and most trusted consigliere of Maurice Aronson who when he was in the presence of Engelhard Jr. knew to never open his mouth unless spoken to because Engelhard Jr. treated all underlings as “little shits”.

 

Throughout the multi-course meal where there were only 6 of us seated, including my girlfriend and Bob and his girlfriend, Bob never spoke a word to me directly, and when he did speak it was not possible for anyone to understand a word he spoke.

 

He also spent a good deal of the time under the table until his best friend pulled him to his feet and led him back to the house.

 

The story I am telling you about how very successful are those profiting from war on the poor, is as timely as it was when first broaching Dylan.

 

Moreover, Dylan is not the only person I have been sharing this information. Maurice Aronson would also prefer that the truth does not get out as it helps make sense of all the red tape one has to go through when reporting much smaller criminal activity.

 

Your and Mike Hall’s lawyer-prosecutor-public defender backgrounds should make it much easier for you both to see the positive difference you can make in this world which is much in need of good news.
