Our sights are not limited to Greyton, and maybe we could rent/lease a neat home that is on the market for sale and the owner would like tenants who will also be nice to the ants just doing their job.
Whatever happened to the properties of that older single gentleman whose partner had passed away as well as the young woman who was getting more into the wine production business?

As a side note, I see the economic-political climate of South Africa deteriorating far worse than any other country in Africa including Zimbabwe, Belgian Congo etc etc given the high expectations of the non-white South Africans who are fast waking up to how extraordinarily they have been conned into accepting “slow change”, unless sufficient numbers of South Africans and people like me on the “outside” get the less privileged South Africans not to fall for the trap of violence all orchestrated by the elite banking-mining consortium De Beers-Anglo American Corporation [DAAC] with whom I have great familiarity and who when they have one foot in Africa their Lear jets and high performance helicopters are all fuelled and ready for takeoff, leaving the rest to defend for themselves, each man for themselves; and that positive outcome which would leave the DAAC with no safe spot to disembark given how their pilots are after all human and fearful of a backlash from the majority Blacks sick and tired of their handpicked puppet leadership, would of course take a miracle; but I believe in miracle of logic, the happiest gift of all.

Ps – Since you say you like to read, get hold of the two almost identical British and American publications of Jan Christian Smuts’ biography written by his son of the same name in 1952; and make note of the missing paragraph in the American edition of the trip Smuts took with Sir Ernest Oppenheimer of DAAC to the Belgian Congo, a United States protectorate from where the DAAC were supplying Hitler with his diamonds – see Chapter 9 of The Diamond Invention book
You may also find it interesting to research the start and ending of the relationship between Smuts and Danish nuclear scientist Niels Bohr who also didn’t walk around with blinkers.
BTW, as you will pick up on my last FB post a few minutes ago, titled, A year ago today, on September 16 of last year Marie and I had dinner in Paris with Geoffrey Rothwell, the Principal Economist for the Nuclear Energy Agency and his French wife who along with Rothwell were anti-war-nuclear activists in the 1970s. Genevieve quit because a close friend of hers was murdered, she believes, by pro nuclear lobbyists; Rothwell simply took a little longer to throw in the towel.You can see that Rothwell [is] no longer a Facebook friend of mine, but he was when we all visited in Greyton.
