Rabbi before you start talking about the corrupt SA Government and they are corrupt, you need to know your history beginning with why the Jewish Federation refused to go on to a “war footing” when Israeli-South African Air Force Colonel, Boris Senior
arrived in South Africa after leaving Israel-Jewish Palestine in mid-February 1948 with instructions from Ben Gurion to secure fighter bomber aircraft and recruit seasoned South African Fighter Pilots like my father Bernie Gevisser and his wingman, Syd Cohen, the only 2 Jewish Fighter Bomber Pilots of General Smuts’ most elite fighter bomber 11 Squadron; not to mention Syd Cohen went on to command the IAF’s only fighter squadron 101 to victory following the death of her first commander, Israeli Modi Alon on 16 October 1948.
Again, the indifference of the South African Jewish Federation did not end there.
To mention little of if you are going to argue that the SA Jewish Federation is different to SA Zionist Federation then the Zionist Federation’s charter should begin with detailing the failings of the Jewish Federation of South Africa.
