I did not mention that the daughter of David Gevisser’s first cousin, Sandy Jacobson, who like you was a member of the armed wing of the ANC, Umkhonto we Sizwe, was tortured to death shortly before my father’s first cousin, David Gevisser published his 2006 memoirs, THE UNLIKELY FORESTER.

A good looking, in good shape, young U.S. Customs and Border Protection male officer, who I assume knows that we are just a few miles as the crow flies from the Mexico-American border, when stepping out of his mostly white truck with a thick green stripe on the “sidess” [sic] and the blue, white and red flashing lights on top that were not flashing, returned my smile and said:
We have to deport someone who didn’t return their library book.
When both returned a couple of minutes later without anyone handcuffed, I continued to believe he was kidding.
After the better looking and not doubt happier Peace Officer went on to inform me that his one wife works at the library, I quickly gave them a brief-cliff notes of the more pertinent parts of my private conversation with Geoff Rothwell, Principal Economist for the National Energy Agency based in Paris, France which in validating the price fixed by 4 government coporations who produce the enriched urnaimuim needed to power nuclear power plants both for civilian use and weapon systems manufacturing, repair and reassembly, dictate human overpopulation.
You may have a little difficulty connecting the dot between government induced human overpopulation and the most important pricing of enriched uranium that powers nuclear plants for civilian and military weapon systems use, but these two Peace Officers had no difficulty because I connected that one dot that an average 12 year old schooled in a household like mine in South Africa would have had little difficulty because they would have had no difficulty.
When walking away about 3 minutes later and still with a happy look on his face, the only one who spoke kindly said, “Thank you for sharing”.

I am now going to give you an idea of how well connected I am to the world’s richest and most powerful people which I was born into given how my father’s first cousin David Gevisser [1926-2009] was the “control person” of the world’s richest estate even before his benefactor, American-German Charles W. Engelhard Jr. [1917-1971] was assassinated by Israel Mossad, which did not mean that Mossad head at the time executed the order of the General of Generals, David Ben-Gurion because in all likelihood the decision on how to kill mass murderer Engelhard Jr. came from his South African-German partner Harry Oppenheimer who knew that Engelhard Jr. had incriminated him, the very moment Engelhard Jr. began selling off the bulk of his South African assets, beginning with control of the world supply to Oppenheimer.

When I met for the first time with Ben-Gurion in private at his “hut” on Kibbutz Sde Boker, Negev Desert, Israel, just a few days after I first met him in a more formal setting on November 1, 1972, 13 months to the day before he passed away, stressed out by the unmentionables that took place in the initial hours of the 1973 Yom Kippur War a few weeks before, when green Israeli border soldiers on the Golan Heights were overrun by Syrian forces who cut off the equipment of the soldiers and stuffed them in their mouths, while some were still alive, his first words to me were, “How is Elizabeth?”, my very close to her chest
British-English mother Zena’s one private secretary who converted from Protestant to Judaism, just as quickly moved to Israel and married an officer in the permanent Israeli Defense Force.
There is only one woman I know who, as she recalls in her September 25, 2001 memoirs titled, LIFE STORY OF ZENA, “From the earliest days of 1949 she visited Israel two and three times a year writing reports for different publications” visited Israel as often as my mother Zena between 1949 and 2001, and that woman is my mother Zena.
My mother never repeated too many things to me because she felt that she didn’t need to repeat things when she knew that I got it.
There is also only one woman I know of, who was orphaned in a pogrom in 1888 when she was 14 and 12 years older than Ben-Gurion, and who also came from the same tiny village as Ben-Gurion, Plonsk in White Russia-Poland.
My mother who was born in 1929 goes on in her most carefully crafted memoirs to describe my great maternal grandmother, Nechie Becker Badash-Ash [1874-1943].
Her paternal grandmother had been an early resident of Tel Aviv only returning to England when Zena was born. The Gevissers (she married Bernie Gevisser when she was 19 after only a few months in Durban) owned land in Haifa harbour and Zichron Yscov and she rapidly felt at home in Israel.
My mother continues:
Reporting on the many wars when Israel was attacked she [Zena] was the first civilian in the captured area of the Sinai and in later years at her own expense twinned Durban with Eilat. In 1978 she left Durban eventually making her home in Netanya [Israel] and England.
1978, not coincidentally, was the year I immigrated to the United States of America from De Beers stronghold, Apartheid South Africa.
My mother’s half brother Joe Ash who was born in 1923, the same year as my dad, believes that the reason the rest of his immediate family immigrated to South Africa from England in late 1947 was because he had convinced his step-father, Al Ash who was the only father he knew, as his biological father died before he was born, the result of a hospital accident caused by a negligent nurse, to join him “following the sun” in tropical climate Durban, South Africa.
There is a lot of truth to that story since who wouldn’t want to find a sunnier spot than Leeds, England if one could afford it. Al Ash had also heard of other sunny spots like Canne in the south of France where he could have easily afforded the most expensive hotel on the breach given how back then he was worth a cool one million English Pounds Sterling which according to my mother he “carried in his back pocket”; i.e. the entire one million pounds was liquid. That was a huge fortune back then. Moreover, it was one of the world’s hugest fortunes which was known to his mother Nechie as well as Ben-Gurion.
You may have read me previously saying, “What Smuts knew, so did Ben-Gurion”. That did not mean that what Ben-Gurion considered of material importance he failed to discuss with Smuts, because I could just as easily have said, “What Ben-Gurion knew, so did Smuts”.
A true friendship, you know, is a two-way street. If one party withholds material information, just once, that is the end of their relationship.
Anyone who is interested in making money in order to make a living in order to feed themselves must naturally be interested in war since it is war that decides the value of the money because your common sense would tell you that a military that defeats another military would never allow the defeated military to produce a currency and value it sufficiently large to purchase the weapon systems including intelligence to then defeat the victor.

Morgan Boer War of 1899-1902, the entire fight was for control of South Africa’s diamond fields whose diamonds were the most critical resource in digging for all the other mineral resources such as water and gold.
You know that you can’t dig for diamonds with gold because gold is a much softer substance.

You and I have a few “mutual” FB “friends” including Bool Smuts, the great nephew of Jan Smuts and Riaan Reyneke whose grandfather presided over Jan Smuts’ funeral.You would also most certainly know my last name Gevisser, and very possibly have read my father’s first cousin, David Gevisser’s 2006 memoirs, THE UNLIKELY FORESTER which mentions Ronnie Kasrils who I understand when returning to South Africa in 2002 you were appointed Special Adviser to Mr. Kasrils, South Africa’s Minister of Water Affairs and Forestry and left that post in 2004, which was the year I decided it was time to begin “speaking out” against the main profiteers of the Apartheid Regime.
You probably don’t know as much as me about David Gevisser’s main benefactor, German-American Charles W. Engelhard Jr. [1917-1971] who is the reason why I ended up working for De Beers just 8 years after Engelhard Jr.’s death on March 2, 1971 which David Gevisser gets wrong twice in THE UNLIKELY FORESTER.
David Gevisser also makes out in his not all that well circulated autobiography that I never existed, as he carefully explains that my mom, Zena Ash Gevisser and my dad Bernie only had 3 children, and then goes on to identify rather precisely where they live; and at least equal in importance, David never once took an interest in their lives; and the same of course cannot be said about me.
In fact there is no Gevisser including his 4 children who knew David as well as me even though he and I only met once as adults, which was back in 1995 when we spent an entire day together, the day following my morning meeting with Trevor Manuel who at the time was South Africa’s Minister of Trade & Industry.

In 2010 when Denis Goldberg published his autobiography, The Mission: A Life for Freedom in South Africa I had not yet written to him.
Goldberg spent 22 years in a South African prison and when he came out he may have looked better than he does today.
