This “fear of fizzle” which you pick up clearly in the question and answer session following the 1 hour and 22 minute, Robert Oppenheimer: A Life Inside the Center – Ray Monk, flies in the face of logic.
If the bomb used in the demonstration “fizzled”, then it was also highly possible the first bomb dropped on Hiroshima would also fizzle, and that would place the United States and its Allies in no worse position.
If it fizzled, and the Japanese had one big laugh, the US-Allies could continue to pummel Japan from the air, until not a single brick could be positively identified.
How many Japanese would have to die before the decision was taken, “Enough is enough?”

If it fizzled in the test, and the Japanese went back to sushi bars, geishas, whoring as drunks are more prone to do, they will suffer less the physical pain in their comotase state, should Little Boy dropped on Hiroshima perform as expected following the Trinity success, with no advance warning, of course, to the Japanese.

How terrible would that be?
Bear in mind, the demonstration could have taken place in deep waters just outside Tokyo harbor at 07:15 JST, 6 August 1945.
In other words, most of us, ignoring the conscious sea life, would have put up with Japanese officials celebrating for 60 minutes.
I just picked 07:15 JST. It could have been much closer to 08:15 or why not the day before?

Director Robbert Dijkgraaf was Director from 2012 until last year, January 10, 2022 when he was sworn-in as Minister of Education, Culture and Science of the Netherlands by King Willem-Alexander; the same King who has just apologized for the Dutch East India Company’s success, transitioning from shipping slaves in conquered territories, to paying slave wages for those who survive the wars, polluted waters, poor diet, wretched poverty, and the such, without however saying he and his family were willing to trade their lifestyle with the homeless, not even for one day.

While we all wait for @Neil Resnick to speak, let me tell you a quick story.
Earlier I stopped by a Trader Joe for an organic carrot juice which comes in a plastic bottle that I don’t care for but nor is it kept that long because their turnover is relatively rapid , certainly compared to caveman times that weren’t that long ago.
A kind woman in front volunteers her spot in line
As we exchanged pleasantries and you know the crap most people have in their shopping carts, and nor was it that long ago that my paternal grandfather Israel Issy Gevisser (c.1890-24 Feb 1970) moved up from pushing a wheelbarrow picking up unbroken bottles off the dirt streets of Durban to supplement the income from his eatery that mostly catered to the dirt poor non-whites, to getting a horse and cart, and only having to watch his back from lazy relatives who thought that by burning down his warehouse, it would be easier to steal his customers, I said to the aware lady,
“what do you think our recent Hunter gatherer cousins would think of these lines?”
Her quick answer, “if they were put in the wild they wouldn’t know what is edible.”
Then she told me this amazing story.

I know the brother of the Czechoslovakian photographer who took all 3 photos soon after the Soviet invasion of Czechoslovakia in August 1968, just a few days shy of a year before Woodstock August 15–18, 1969.
The brother who was dating my wife’s elder sister, gifted my wife Marie Dion those 3 autographed photos that are framed and hang above my workbench desk.
Earlier today I picked up from the post office a half dozen photos of my wife from her early teens to mid-teens that her 7 years older sister sent.
My wife was already stunning back then. There is one of her studying with a cigarette in her right hand that is easy to miss because Marie Dion is so beautiful.
There is one with her riding a jumping horse belonging to her second eldest brother whose tour of duty with the Royal Canadian Mounted Police [RCMP] ended with head of security for the Canadian Embassy in Paris, France and it helps in speaking with the locals that the family’s first language is French, followed by head of security at the Canadian Embassy, Washington DC which is the best spot of all the foreign embassies.
What is missing is one with my wife riding the same palomino horse clearing a 6 foot jump.
Those of you who have never ridden a horse probably are not kept up all night frightened to death of jumping a 6 foot jump on a horse which can be catastrophic if the speed isn’t exactly right, and the cadence is off.
For those of you unfamiliar with cadence, it is the rhythm of a horse’s hoof beats.
Those who have jumped small jumps on a horse, know you have to be fully competent to jump 6 feet on a horse.

The reason for that is that I had known them all a lifetime, and we never had so much as a crossword fly between us.
That is not to say I failed to witness, rather mild mannered Natie once cracking Roy across the face that sent Roy flying across the police station entrance hall after Roy had been arrested for stealing a bottle of orange juice off the sidewalk.
Any parent who goes so far as to raise a hand in anger, to intimidate a child, no matter how much wrong they have done, should be immediately deprived of their parental responsibilities, sent if not to jail to heavy duty counseling and once proven to the village that they are a new person to be returned custody of their child, so long as the child consents.
As far as I was concerned, justice was going to come to Marc Rich and his puppet master Harry Oppenheimer and that would result in a magnifiscent reset, end all the injustice and have us all finally get smart.
But God obviously had other plans.

It was in fact Paul who brought up her name after I shared with him how he could make tens of millions, upwards of $50 million profit in a public corporation Chase Brass Industries which new member @Newell Starks had brought to my attention, and I was simply not interested because my focus was to diminish as much as possible speaking with foolish people.
But Paul was desperate and he wasn’t getting any younger.
I also shared with him the parameters needed to take control of Chase Brass Industries and that all it would take is someone who had access to money.
Remember we are talking pre-Cryptos which talks clearly to God’s presence given the willingness of the people to go along with something that makes no sense but it has celebrities like Elon Musk and bunches in Hollywood and every politician supporting Cryptos like they are manna from heaven.
The Essakows had yet to make a name for themselves in southern California stolen real estate and that would come on first anniversary of 9/11, 11 September 2002, when they overpaid for the purchase of the Marc Rich-Essakow Flower Hill mall.
From the SA Oppenheimers’ perspective you overpay when you use any form of money for either a stolen real estate property or a business.
Those paying attention either in economics lectures or finance pick up quickly that a monopolist such as the SA Oppenheimers who have never paid their regular soldiers or mercenaries a fair wage, conduct 90% of their transactions off balance sheet.
@David Levy, you are a South African Chartered Accountant, can you explain why such a term “off balance sheet” is troublesome when the mineral market is a monopoly?
