my body hence perhaps why I only made it up halfway but mostly because I got distracted by this most peaceful oasis; but time is running out since I not only need an hour to drive back to Del Mar but I also need another hour to get a little haircut and that most important shave from my favorite Vietnamese barber at the barber shop just south of the corner of Highway 101 and Loma Santa Fe drive in Solana Beach.

Perhaps, you could give me your read of what weather conditions will be like around sunset this evening at Coronado Island and if it is going to be rainy or too windy then I will most likely remain here and have ample time to make it to the very top and visit this one house under construction in the middle of nowhere with the most awesome view.

However, Mr Luo said Chinese officials would encourage its banks to finance domestic mergers and acquisitions rather than provide rescue finance to distressed financial companies in other countries: “There will be no bottom-fishing of financial institutions, particularly in the US, because there is a lot of uncertainty about the quality of the books.”

Mr. Sender continues:

Mr Luo said China intends to maintain its separation of investment and commercial banking based on its observations of the US after repeal of the Glass-Steagall Act that enforced a similar division of banking activities.

What Mr. Sender fails to do is to place such a nonsense but most careful distraction in some sort of “time perspective”.

“Government ownership was viewed as something negative but the pendulum is swinging the other way. Perhaps banking is [no different from] public utilities where government participation is necessary,” he said.

“Deregulation in the US has gone a little bit too far. The market can’t be omnipotent.”
