Laura – I was just wondering what do you tell all your 400+ Facebook “friends” now that you decided to “deactivate” your account?
Charlies Ivie hasn’t deactivated his, and he is now down to 7 FB “friends” including one FB friend that is himself.
Statistically you were a significant number to him.
I also couldn’t help but notice your timing.
Since you will have significantly more time on your hands, could you now answer my question, where would the South African-German Oppenheimer family who profited more than any other Captain of Industry from the slaughters of World War I and II have pointed Warren Buffet to in The Diamond Invention book had he sought to drive too hard a bargain in his purchase of De Beers’ Ben Ridge Jewelers in 2000?
BTW, you do perfectly understand that anyone who profits from House of Cards Wall Street and that includes their spouse-partner is most unwilling to “hazard a guess” to this most important question, that again I know the answer to, of course. You also remember that just before you decided to deactivate your Facebook after so painstakingly building up such a huge number of FB “friends” who you couldn’t do enough for in pointing them time and again in the wrong direction, I spelled out to you, your FB friends as well as all those tuned in to what I have to say on this most important subject that I was hoping you would be the first to expand this most important conversation, but instead you chose carefully to deactivate your FB.
It simply means that I must place my energies into finding your replacement who conceivably could be the rest of the human population who have an Internet connection and who are interested in doing the right thing.
PS – BTW, I met yesterday with a very in good shape white Kenyan who is a year younger than me, and got his Phd from the University of Virginia and his command of mathematics allows him to spend a lot of time outdoors doing research on animal-human behavior including elephants in a game reserve that surrounds one of Nicholas Oppenheimer’s diamond mines in South Africa. He prides himself on providing Nicholas with a toy that allowed the head of the world’s number one bank-mining consortium Engelhard-De Beers-Anglo American Corporation to interact with an elephant that had one of those GPS collars. The money for this one of many research grants that this gentleman has did not come from Oppenheimer, at least not directly; in fact despite playing with this joystick toy that Nick O. just happened to stumble on when he visited the offices of the game reserve, Oppenheimer didn’t even put his hand in his pocket to offer even a small “thank you.”
Of course I know that you perfectly understand that despite Oppenheimer not being close to top of his class at school or university because in fact he was considered by his teachers and peers as rather “thick” as in “dumb as shit”, by being “tight with his money” he has the rest of the “common herd” thinking that much more that money is the scarce resource.
It is of course most disheartening to find out so late in life after you have raised 3 boys to think that if they get a university education then they will be able to make a whole bunch more money than those not college educated who are forced into the economic military draft, that the person in charge today of all the brainwashing really isn’t in the least bit bright, and yet has all of you believing that the Oppenheimers are now out of the diamond business without them or anyone else telling you where they are investing their money.
Should the US Government announce in the very next hour that they are now going to regulate De Beers so that they no longer contravene all the governments of the world’s anti-monopolies laws, will that have your mind telling you, “That is good. It is about time!”?
Fear not, this rather unusual Phd who got the lesson of a lifetime from me yesterday has two adopted children, a 15 year old Colored South African whose mother was white and father black and a 10 year old black South African girl. The son looks like he is heading to a career in directing movies. I hope to watch his 15 year old play cricket this afternoon where he is the opening bowler for his high school’s cricket team. Yesterday I was given a private walkthrough of the shipping conglomerate Rennies’
