In the top photo, again taken on the last day of school, British writing, 6.11.70 before school leave to swot for the final matriculation examination which the teachers didn’t need to study for because all teachers in Banana Republics like South Africa first had to matriculate themselves before going on to earn teaching diplomas like my high school history teacher @Wendy Ann Bouman.

The school leave were only for final year high school students.
