$242 million is a lot more than $60 million.
It also means you need to have excess cash to pay the cleaners, plumbers, electricians so that they don’t do a half-ass job, property taxes, and nor can you expect your guests to pitch in for the parties.
Derrick choosing to come and live next door to me
in a comparable size, small 2 bedroom 2 bath apartment from where we could speak to each other from our respective bedrooms without raising our voices; moreover, on the wrong side of the tracks on Stanford Street, Santa Monica, is not because I initially put up the monies for his ownership share in this 6 unit apartment building where one of the tenants was Errol Perling and Tracy Tomson; and neither of them, nor the other tenants had the first clue of the fast real money track Derrick and I were on back in the late 80s when I was still in my 20s, and he just a few years younger.

How would you like to deal with all the resentful contractors, when life is perfect, other than Derrick thinking all the time, how badly he screwed up when bending over for his gay uncle, Jonathan “Trouble Bubble” Beare?
It is not possible with Derrick’s access to unlimited sums of money capital to lose a penny in a real estate transaction unless he went mad, taken advantage of by a member of the British Crown who own the land lease.
Nor can King Charles and his entourage have been happy that Derrick was looking for a rich Saudi to be the buyer; their parties could wreck the neighborhood.
They are happy to take Crown Prince MBS’ money
and dress up in native attire
but certainly not in such closeness to Buckingham Palace.
