I will respond now; and should you wish to know more about why Ben Gurion appears to have his mind on other things despite Alan Zulman being the most successful South African fund raiser for UJA, and no South African even being close and you probably know that per capita Jewish South Africans donated more to UJA than any other Jewish population in the world, you just have to ask.
BTW, I met Ben Gurion who was born in the same tiny village of Plonsk, White Russia-Poland as my maternal great grandmother Nechie Bardash [1874-1943]

Then the stock market split and suddenly I had 20. They encouraged me to keep going and I would continue to buy de Beers, or Anglos, as they became known, until I left S.A.in 1973

I am sorry, Gary, I have far too much on my plate at the moment to engage with this stuff. I don’t want to be rude, but I don’t know you and I really don’t have the time.

There is a reason why you got into the knitty-gritty of your life without addressing what I learned directly from Ben Gurion who at our first very private, one on one meeting soon after I first met, didn’t immediately want to discuss his “kinsman”, my great maternal grandmother Nechie Bardash; instead he wanted to applaud me, “I see that we have a skater in the family” and of course our first few words together were all in Hebrew, just like the 30 minute talk he gave on November 1, 1972, 13 months to the day before he passed away.
At our last meeting in late December 72, he asked me simply, “What did you most learn here?” and my answer, very original did not catch him by surprise, “Those who know, don’t talk; those who don’t, do all the talking, once you tell a secret, it is no longer a secret”.

And yes it is important that today, well into my 61st year, I am significantly healthier thanks to my beautiful wife leading the way in greatly improving our diet.
